Labour Signs

Still here with no baby, folks!

At the antenatal class, back in July, among many other things, they talked about labour signs. Yesterday, I took the chart they gave us to see if I am getting close or not. Apparently, these things could happen before labour kicks in. I have added my status in the last column.

Of course, every woman reacts in a different way and not everybody experiences all these signs.
I seem to be having some of these but definitely not the most important ones. Does it mean that there is still quite a long way to go?? Hope not.

Meanwhile, mum and Rob are getting more and more anxious and forcing me to do things that are supposed to speed up the process. I am adding chilly oil to every meal I eat these days and take a little stroll in the area at least once a day. My mum is also making me take the stairs up and down when we go out. Six floors of stairs people, six floors! If that doesn't induce labour, what will?

This morning my mum and I went out a little. It was a nice, crisp day in London. Once back home we took a couple of pictures...hopefully the last ones with the bump! And as you can see, pink flowers are a must these days! We are getting there...Stay tuned.

Men and Flowers

On my way home after work yesterday I passed by a lovely florist and smiled. It was full of men looking for flowers to bring to their Valentines. It made me smile to see so many men, of different age, browsing around and looking for the perfect flowers to surprise their partners. You should have seen their expressions, they were serious, satisfied with their choices and looking forward to joining their lovers.

Did you receive any flower yesterday? Do you like flowers?
Rob came home with a nice bunch of twelve red roses and a card that said *For my wife*...
...soon, my love, soon!

Flowers, Vegetables, Cupcakes and Relax

So, the weekend is now over...what have you been up to?
I had a very relaxing and lovely weekend and now feel ready to face what's going to be a super busy week.

On Saturday morning Rob and I went to Borough Market to buy some goodies and new plants for the terrace. The atmosphere in that market is always amazing and I simply love going there. It's always full of people, smells and colours...I could go there every day (if it was open)! We also bumped into our friends Andrew and Stephanie while shopping, which was very nice; it doesn't happen that ofter to run into people we know in London, this city is so big! We spent the afternoon strolling around St. Katherine's Docks, probably my favourite spot in London. The weather was glorious and the docks were so beautiful. I must confess: I envied all the people tanning and sipping wine on the boats. Anyone out there, owners of boats!, who would be willing to invite us over for a drink? Once back home from our stroll I spent the rest of the day gardening and baking, the perfect life! I planted new wonderful plants on the terrace and seeds of mixed lettuce. Meanwhile my chard, rocket and courgettes are growing nicely while the tomato plants are suffering the heat a little bit. I hope they recover, I can't bear the idea of not having tomatoes this summer! After dinner, vegetables and prawns stir fried noodles outside in the terrace, I baked some cupcakes. They didn't come out perfect but I think they look ok and taste quite good. Today we celebrated the 4th of July with our American friends Andrew and Steph. They organised a very nice bbq, food and drinks were simply delicious and we had a lovely time.

This is how every weekend should be...

Can't get enough!

I just love RayBan sunglasses, for me they are the only cool sunglasses in the market. Forget about major brands, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, D&G, none of these have the quirkiness of this American-Italian brand.

I already have three pairs of RayBan and I am about to buy my fourth one. Howevere, I have just spotted this Limited Edition and am in love. Everything is right here: the shades of blue and the flowers are so in! Must have them too! Aren't they adorable?
