Nonna and Nonna Grande

My mum and grandmum were in town for a few days; they arrived on Thursday night and left this morning. The main purpose of this trip was to allow Rob and me to enjoy a nice weekend away in occasion of Rob's birthday (more on this later), however, every excuse is good to come and spend some time with their beloved Emilia! They love Emilia and Emilia loves them. She refers to my mum as Nonna Patty and to my grandmum as Nonna Grande or Nonna Nilde. One of the great things about Emilia is that she has never suffered from stranger anxiety nor separation anxiety so the moment we told her that we were leaving she simply smiled at us and waved good-bye. How adorable is that? Rob and I were only away for three days but we missed her terribly. Of course we relaxed and enjoyed every single minute of our little getaway but Emilia was constantly in our thoughts.

This is in pictures what she did with mum and grandmum while we were away. Please note, if possible, my mum takes even more pictures of Emilia than I do!

Thanks ladies for keeping her so excited, stimulated, entertained and happy. You rock!

Play Session

My parents and Emilia have just got back from yet another successful play date. This time they went to a Play Centre located within Southwark Park. Unfortunately, they arrived late for the *Play To Learn* session, where kids play with different materials such as water, sand, and paint. However, they still made use of the facility, the toys and the outdoor playground. Emilia loved it and made new friends! My parents will leave next week and I know we will all miss them terribly.

Book Club

Yesterday afternoon my parents took Emilia to her first Book Club gathering. The weather wasn't great in London but they still went and Emilia, apparently, was very good. What I thought was sweet about the club is that the educators have HUGE books and while they flip through them, they read and also sing some rhymes. According to my parents, Emilia recognised some of the songs and clapped her hands when it was time to. The club is for kids aged between five months and five years old. The good news is that the gatherings are on Monday afternoon, from 1.30 to 3.00pm, and I don't work on Mondays, so I can take her to!

G-daddy Love!

These days Emilia is spending some quality time with her Italian grandparents and is particularly enjoying playing with her grandaddy. I love taking family pictures, I think it will be wonderful in a few years to look at all these pictures together and remember the beautiful days that we all spent with baby Emilia. She is precious.
