Family Monday

I love family week days. Rob worked from home today so we were able to spend some extra time together. It was a very nice way to start the new week. The weather was glorious this morning so Emilia and I left Rob working in peace in the flat and took a very long stroll in the city. Look at the sky? Isn't it beautiful? We got ourselves ready very early and by 9.00am we were already along the river.

We stayed out for over two hours sucking in all the sun. We stopped at a little cafe' along the river to have a pastry (well, just me, of course!) and then checked a few shops and even bought a couple of things, among which a super cute Summer dress for Emilia! Once we got back home, it was lunch time and when the sun is shining, there is nothing better that a nice bowl of spaghetti with fresh cherry tomatoes and fresh basil. Oh, it tasted divine, it tasted like Summer! Have I mentioned how much I am looking forward to Summer yet? Thought so.

After lunch, Rob kept working dutifully while Emilia and I took a very long nap. So much needed! And once we were all up again, and after a yummy snack, we spent the afternoon crafting and working with daddy. Emilia loves playing in her little crafty-area and can entertain herself and be busy busy for quite some time colouring-in and playing with stickers.

If only we could spend every day of the week together...
