Birthday Celebrations!

It was Rob's birthday last Sunday and we celebrated with a birthday weekend celebration extravaganza! On Saturday we stayed local: in the morning we hit the Unicorn theatre to see Planeta KA, a sensory show specially designed for children under three years old.

In the afternoon we went to a Farewell Party hosted by some local friends who are now moving to Berlin. There were lots of kids and Emilia had a blast! I struggled to take pictures of her as she couldn't stay still.

On Sunday, day of the actual birthday, we headed north to Primrose Hill Festival. The weather was glorious and we had a wonderful time just enjoying the festival, wandering around the village,  stopping at Primrose Bakery for a cupcake, climbing to the top of the hill to admire the spectacular views of London, and walking along the serene Regent Canal. We had such a beautiful day, it was the perfect way to celebrate Rob's birthday all together.

And finally, it was time for some lavish celebration! On Monday I took the birthday boy to Bob Bob Ricard for a nice lunch, just the two of us. As expected, the Russian restaurant was full of gold, glitter and glamour. We both had lobster mac and cheese as our main dish and managed to stay away from the *Press for Champagne* button!

Easter 2015

This year we spent Easter with my cousin Severe, aka Emilia's babysitter, and her lovely family. On Saturday we invited them over for lunch and then they invited us over to their place in Wimbledon on Easter Sunday. Both days were nice and sunny and we spent most of the two days just eating, as good Italians do! Here are some pictures of our celebrations.

Day 1:
In preparation for Easter, Emilia had made a lovely Easter tree, painted and decorated some Easter eggs with nonno Walter and nonna Patrizia while we were in Berlin, and together with me she made beautiful place cards for all our guests. Needless to say, they were a big hit! We had a very nice and relaxing day eating and chatting!

Day 2:
On Easter Sunday, we took the tube all the way to South Wimbledon and then enjoyed a nice walk to Severe's house. Again, we spent the day eating and chatting...and this time we also sang and danced!

Virginia's Wedding

We got back to London about two weeks ago, but before I tell you all about the crazy fun that we have had in the last couple of weeks, I have one more post to devote to our lovely stay in Italy. I want to tell you and show you some pictures about my friend Virginia's wedding. Virginia and Andrea's wedding was particularly emotional as Virgy walked down the aisle carrying a six-month baby bump! That's right, she is pregnant and they are expecting a baby girl, Elisa, in December. Virgina had the cutest flower girls who all behaved very well. The venue, Casale Marino, was stunning, the food delicious and the flower arrangements beautiful. It was the perfect way to end our stay in my beloved Pescara.

Yellow Party

As I mentioned previously on this blog, on Saturday we threw a little party for Emilia's second birthday here at my parents' house. Since Emilia's favourite colour is yellow, I decided to organise a yellow party where not only all the decor was in yellow but I also asked all the guests to wear something yellow! It was lovely to see my parents' garden all dressed up for the occasion and yellow is such a happy colour! To make things even more special, my mum made beautiful personalised hats and bracelets, all decorated with flowers and ribbons, and she also made a gorgeous number 2 all covered with paper and fabric flowers. Amazing. Both adults and kids loved dressing up although the big hit was by far the vintage swing! I had so much fun planning this party and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying it.

Happy second birthday my little princess! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
