Back when Emilia was five months old I enrolled her to swimming classes at our ocal pool. Sadly, the company behind the classes had to cancel them as the temperature of the water in the pool wasn't the right one for babies that little. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Then, last year we spent a couple of weeks in Pescara at the end of Summer and I was hoping she could start swimming there but once again the beach club we attended didn't allow Emilia in the pool as she was too little and the water wasn't warm enough for her. Finally, this year we have been able to start proper swimming classes! Our friend Ilaria has been taking her nine-month-old baby Tommaso to a beach club for professional baby swimming classes since the beginning of Summer and we went along. Emilia was a bit scared at first but thankfully she has now familiarised with the water and enjoys long strolls in the sea as well!
