Why I love London?

because every weekend is different...

One of the things we did this weekend was visiting Whitechapel Art Gallery. The gallery was founded in 1901 to "bring great art to people of the East End of London" and has recently gone through major works of renovation.
The gallery shows a changing programme of contemporary and 20th-century art, featuring new as well as acknowledged artists. Media range from painting and sculpture to video and photography.
The gallery is simply divine maintaining most of its original features and even if contemporary art is not your cup of tea you'll certainly enjoy a walk in this beautiful space!
On a *more* serious note: the cupcakes served in the cafe' are heavenly!
