Peppa Pig Live

Several weeks ago while walking in the tube, Rob and I spotted a poster about a Peppa Pig's Big Splash show in London. Of course, we had to check it out. Once back home, we checked on the Internet and found what we were looking for. We immediately looked at potential dates and in no time we had our tickets with us! We had been counting the days to the show and finally it was here! Last Thursday, on a rainy day, Rob, Emilia and I ventured to Piccadilly Circus and enjoyed a wonderful show at the Criterion Theatre. Emilia had a blast. It was so cute to see all those little kids gathered together to see their idol. The show was wonderful, sweet and entertaining, we all had fun and got back home with a dinosaur!

Peppa Pig World

About a year ago, while walking out of the London Bridge tube station, my eyes caught a leaflet of a new theme park that had just opened in honour of the one and only Peppa Pig. I knew one day we would venture there...and that day was last Friday! On Friday morning we took the train from London Waterloo to Southampton Central and from there it was a ten minute taxi ride to Peppa Pig World. My parents, Rob, Emilia and I were all super excited to spend a fun day out. And boy did we have fun! 

The train ride was smooth and Emilia was captivated by all the people around her. She was very good and when she wasn't busy overhearing the conversations from her neighbours, she played with her activity book. 

 

The taxi ride from Southampton Central station to the park, on the other hand, wasn't very smooth and Emilia was quite distressed. But we got there, in the end. And once inside the park, we were all in haven! We all loved it. The park is perfect for kids and toddlers and most of the rides are suitable for little ones. Emilia's favourite was by far the dinosaur's ride! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And of course, we met Peppa! And George. This time, Emilia was a little bit less scared by Peppa and wanted to get closer and closer (but not too close!). 

 

 

Peppa Pig World is actually part of a bigger, and older, theme park. So, once we were done with all the rides in Peppa World, we ventured to the rest of the park. I really liked walking through the botanical gardens and we all enjoyed a ride on the Victorian carousel. 

 

We left just five minutes before the park closed and this time the taxi ride back to the train station went very well. Emilia was happy, in fact, she was ecstatic. She kept saying *Peppa World* and gave all of us lots of gratitude kisses! It was such a lovely family day out and a perfect way to celebrate my first day as an older lady :)

Summer Fair!

A few days ago Rob brought home a leaflet publicising a Summer Fair for this weekend in St. John's Wood, in North London, where among lots of other fun things kids were given the chance to meet the one and only Peppa Pig. Needless to say we had to go and I put it immediately in the diary! 

When we woke up this morning the weather wasn't great but the forecast for the afternoon was quite promising with the sun shining and mild temperatures. So, right after lunch we got ready and went. The fair was nice and we met Peppa; although, Emilia was quite shocked by the size of it and I don't blame her. Kids are used to see Peppa as a cartoon and pictured on a thousand gadgets but they don't expect her to be as big as their parents, in fact, even bigger. Emilia didn't quite like this and didn't want to take a picture with her idol. On the other hand, Mummy did and loved it. I am equally a big fun and was quite excited to meet Peppa! I would have loved to have a chat with her but a huge queue of kids behind me forced me to rush out of her tent. Also, Emilia was quite distressed and kept saying *bye bye*. What a shame. Another time. When we left the tent, Emilia kept looking back and said: *Mamma, Peppa, grande, grande-grande!*. So, we left the fair to calm her down and walked all around and through Regent's Park, my favourite park in London. Here Emilia was in her habitat, free to walk and run as she pleased. She was intrigued by everything and everyone. She had an amazing time and once back in the tube, she crashed! She is now peacefully sleeping, her tiny feet ran miles and miles today! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Back in our neighbourhood, we played a bit with the new statue installations and enjoyed the music and the stalls of the street party. There is always something going on around here! Then back home for dinner and finally nanna! It was a big day for Emilia and all of us.
